Bahamas Paradise

The Bahamas is an archipelago of 700 islands and islets in the Atlantic Ocean between Florida and Hispaniola. Sun, sand and sea are merely perimeters of the islands of the Bahamas. First point of Christopher Columbus landing in the New World in 1492 is estimated to have been on the island of San Salvador (also called Watling Island) in the southeastern Bahamas. The climate is tropical marine tempered by the warm Gulf Stream and it is perfect for holidays year round sunshine. The islands are within 10 miles of the south coast of Florida, closer than other Caribbean destinations, and can be quickly and easily reached by air or by sea. Many major airlines have flights to the Bahamas, and also several charter airlines and can lead you there. Frequent flights are available to Nassau, Freeport, and the Out Islands.
